Collaborate

One of the most important lessons we learn from global education is how important collaboration is.  Increasingly nations, including the United States of America, have the new and burgeoning task of educating students and teachers for an increasingly globalized world. Connecting to colleagues around the world takes only a few clicks on a keyboard. This changes everything in our nation from politics, to economics, and most importantly to education.  The Chen Yidan Visiting Global Fellows program focuses on preparing students for an entirely different way of interacting with the world around them and to do this effectively we must first collaborate across borders and cultural norms to create curricula and knowledge bases allow them to egage meaningfully and productively with their local, national, and global communities.  The Chen Yidan Visiting Global Fellows program does this in two ways.

1.   The Selection committee strives to bring a diverse group of Fellows, including for the Global South, who can share their knowledge and expertise, as well as their experience working in an international community of educators.

2.   Secondly, we provide networking and collaborative opportunities between the Fellows, our faculty and students.
