Dr. Lotte Henrichs is an assistant professor in the Education department at Utrecht University. She combines educational research with teacher education. She is passionate about contributing to equity in education through high-quality teacher training and the advancement of school-university partnerships for joint research endeavors and teacher professional development. The focus of her scholarly work and academic teaching is on culturally responsive practices in Dutch multicultural classrooms, considering students' languages, cultural backgrounds, teacher expectations, classroom interactions, and parental involvement.

She helped initiate an Educational Research Lab, where elementary school teachers collaborated on practice-oriented research with scholars from various higher education institutes. With these partnerships growing in popularity in the Netherlands, Lotte serves as an advisor to many. In 2021, Lotte received the Utrecht University Outstanding Teacher award for her efforts to link educational research with practice and for integrating these insights into her own teaching.
